Admission to the School
Requirements
To enroll in the “Introduction to Renewable Energy – SIER” School at the University of Udine, which is limited to a maximum of 40 participants, applicants must hold at least a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad, recognized as suitable by the Course Committee solely for the purpose of course participation.
The course is primarily intended for students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs in scientific disciplines.
Please note that starting from the 2024/25 academic year, participation in the school grants 6 ECTS credits (CFU) to students who attend the full program and successfully pass the final examination.
For these students, and subject to the availability of sufficient sponsors, up to 5 scholarships will be offered to cover the entire registration fee (excluding the stamp duty).
Graduates, technicians, and representatives from companies operating in the renewable energy sector are also strongly encouraged to participate.
Registration
To enroll in the course, it is mandatory to complete the registration process EXCLUSIVELY through the ONLINE procedure by accessing the ESSE3 portal, no later than 12:00 PM on September 9, 2025, by following the instructions available in the Program Guide (Manifesto degli Studi).
We strongly recommend completing the pre-registration process, which ensures full technical and informational support throughout the enrollment procedure, as well as providing updated information about the school.
The course requires a registration fee of €216.00 (including a €16.00 virtual stamp duty), to be paid at the time of registration.
The fee covers all course lectures and educational materials.
Scholarship recipients will have their registration fee fully covered by the scholarship, excluding the stamp duty.
Coffee breaks, lunches, the social dinner, visits, and transportation to the scheduled sites of interest are provided by the school at no additional cost.
It is also possible to pay the registration fee using the "Carta del Docente" (Teacher’s Card).
